Chris is a biotechnology leader with over 30 years of experience blending computational biology, bioinformatics and wet lab expertise. His career includes impactful roles at companies such as TRexBio, UNITY Biotechnology and Sapphire Energy, where he contributed to advancements in areas as diverse as immune system modulation, aging biology, algae biofuels and personalized cancer vaccines. With a foundation in molecular biology and genetics, Dr. Yohn has applied his skills to areas including target discovery/validation, platform development and translational research, complementing his computational expertise in data analysis, machine learning and bioinformatics.

From discovering biomarkers and optimizing therapeutic strategies to leading cross-functional teams and managing multimillion-dollar research programs, Dr. Yohn brings a unique ability to translate complex science into actionable insights. He earned his Ph.D. in Macromolecular and Cellular Structure and Chemistry from The Scripps Research Institute and a B.S in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.
